Questions to ask before you build your website

First ask yourself, what kind of a website are you going to build? Is it going to be a blog or a website for your existing business?
What is the goal of building your website? For some, it might be simply to showcase their online portfolio, for others it might be an e-commerce portal. Jot down your goals on a document to get a clear idea of what features you might want from your website
Have you decide which content needs to be displayed on your website? Make sure you compile all your content before you start designing the website
Have you sketched a design that is in your mind on the computer or a piece of paper. You can also use Powerpoint to make a mock-up of the website before you give it to a professional designer. Collect some images that your brand or you can relate to that you could use on your website if you want.
Have you considered which pages will go on a website? Eg. Portfolio gallery,a blog section,product pages.
